👀 Apple is moving up delivery dates for some iPhone Duo pre-orders
👏 Folks in the US and Japan have seen them move up by weeks and even months
🙏 One user had an estimate from December 3 to 10, and it moved to October 24
📆 The iPhone Duo launches this Friday, and Apple has seen immense demand for its first foldable
If you weren’t quick off the mark to grab an iPhone Duo pre-order as early as possible last week, it looked like you’d be waiting until December or even into 2027 for your foldable to arrive.
However, it seems like Apple has begun moving up iPhone Duo pre-order delivery dates for early buyers, as per MacRumors.
For instance, in the US, YouTuber Matt Gonzalez noted his Duo order initially showed a December delivery estimate, but Apple’s online tracker was now showing an estimate between November 20 and November 30. For reference, he ordered a Star White model with 512GB of storage.
Other MacRumors forum members in the US have corroborated that Apple is moving up dates, with a pair of customers with an initial December 1 to December 8 estimate now being moved to between November 16 and November 23.
It isn’t just in the US, either. In Japan, one customer had mentioned on social media that their estimate has moved from its original December 3 to December 10 window to now being October 24, the day after the iPhone Duo officially launches.
Apple has a good track record of under-promising and over-delivering with its pre-order estimates, so if you’ve got an order in for any of Apple’s new devices, be it the Duo, or the trio of devices it announced last week – the new HomeView, HomePod mini 2 or the fourth-gen Apple TV 4K – then it’s worth keeping an eye on the online tracker in case you get that package sooner than anticipated.
The iPhone Duo launches on Friday, and as MacRumors notes, estimates had already been pushed back to January 25 next year within the first 30 minutes of pre-orders opening.
If you have ordered the handset, then you’ve got a little bit of time to assemble some accessories – here are ten of our favorites.
