🤌 Amazon has cut the pre-order price of the Apple TV 4K, along with Walmart
💰 The device is down to $290 shipped and is available for delivery on release day
📆 This contrasts Apple, where delivery dates are slipping further into December
💪 The new fourth-gen Apple TV 4K is more powerful, integrates with Siri AI and can even act as a smart home hub
Amazon already has a deal going on the new fourth-gen Apple TV 4K that softens the blow of its hefty price tag.
Currently, the big online retailer is selling the new Apple TV 4K for $290 shipped.
Working out at a $10 discount on the device’s normal price, it’s better than nothing, and you’re also getting the device sooner. Apple’s current delivery estimates for the Apple TV 4K have slipped into December, and it could wind up shipping in 2027 if you’re not careful.
Meanwhile, Amazon is still offering the chance to get the device on launch day – November 13 – meaning you’d be able to get it set up and running long before the holiday season begins.
Walmart has also price-matched Amazon, and is offering the Apple TV 4K for $289.99.
For reference, Apple announced its new fourth-gen Apple TV 4K last week, and it brings a fair suite of upgrades.
This includes much brisker CPU and GPU performance thanks to the A19 chip inside, plus a dedicated AV1 encoder for more efficient, high-quality streaming that uses less bandwidth.
Likewise, Siri AI is front and center, with a new full-screen UI and some clever capabilities when paired with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone. The new Apple TV 4K also comes with three far-field microphones that let you use Siri without picking up the remote.
The device can also act as a smart home hub, supporting automations, guest mode and local processing of HomeKit Secure Video, with Apple Intelligence-generated video descriptions and summarized notifications, and Thread support.
Apple Fitness+, Apple Arcade, the App Store games library and Apple Originals are also all available on the new Apple TV 4K, along with live sports such as Formula 1 (US only), MLS and Friday Night Baseball.
