To celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda series, Nintendo is releasing a special limited edition Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller.
The Switch 2 Pro Controller follows the gold and royal emerald color scheme of the Nintendo Switch 2 The Legend of Zelda 40th anniversary edition, and also includes an 8-Bit Link on the back.
Aside from the gorgeous design, this is the same excellent Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller we’re used to, and the easiest way to enjoy playing the best Switch 2 games in TV mode.

You can get your hands on The Legend of Zelda 40th anniversary edition Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller on October 29, 2026. That’s just under a month before The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake releases on November 5.
If you want the stand, you’ll have to purchase the controller from the Nintendo Store, or in-person from the New York and San Francisco stores, as it’s an exclusive.

Nintendo hasn’t revealed the price of The Legend of Zelda 40th anniversary edition Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller but we can make a pretty accurate guess. The standard Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller costs $89.99, and the only limited edition Pro Controller to release so far was the Resident Evil Requiem Switch 2 Pro Controller, which cost $99.99. Therefore, it’s very likely that The Legend of Zelda 40th anniversary edition Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller will also cost $99.99.
