💧 December’s list of free PS Plus games leaked last week
Sony has confirmed in a tweet this month’s batch of free PS Plus games after the list leaked yesterday.
December’s PS Plus free games will include Mass Effect Legendary Edition for PS4, Biomutant for PS4 and PS5, and Divine Knockout on PS4 and PS5. If you currently have a PS Plus Essential, Extra or Premium subscription, you’ll be able to pick up all three games from December 6 to January 2, and can play them for as long as your membership remains active.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition is the biggest game on the list. Released in 2021, it collects the first three games of the beloved sci-fi RPG series in a single, updated compilation. Each game sports various visual enhancements over its original release, alongside a few gameplay tweaks and balances. This really is the best way to play the Mass Effect games today.
Biomutant, also released in 2021, is a kung fu action RPG set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by anthropomorphic animals. As a genetically modifiable rodent, you’ll explore the open world, complete lots of quests, and fight a whole bunch of weird creatures. Despite a cold reception on release, players have warmed to the game now it runs smoothly without bugs.
Divine Knockout is the newest game in this month’s free PS Plus games roster. A third-person platform fighter, you’ll team up in multiplayer brawls to clash with cutesy characters styled after ancient mythological beings. There are various competitive game modes to try, with more maps, characters and modes on the way.
While none of them made their way to our list of the best PS5 games, they certainly offer a lot of variety. And what’s the holiday season for if not binging the entire Mass Effect trilogy in a couple of weeks?
If you’re not currently a member of Sony’s gaming membership service, you can subscribe right now to pick up the free games. Don’t pay full price, though.
