The problem with OLED TVs is that theyâve always had a hefty cost attached to them, although with Rokuâs new 55-inch OLED model, things might be set to change.
As per Engadget, the new Roku Pro Series OLED and Pro Series LX OLED TVs are designed to offer the classic benefits of OLED, such as inky blacks and immense contrast, while bringing over the premium software experience the brand introduced on its Mini LED-backlit Pro TVs.
Roku Pro Series OLED
The Pro Series OLED comes in either 55-inch or 65-inch sizes with a new design, complete with a thin metal bezel with ports on the bottom two-thirds of the screen to make the top third as thin as it can be.
The OLED panel supports up to 4K/120Hz output for smooth and detailed output across four HDMI 2.1 ports, while also having Dolby Vision HDR support and Smart Picture Max for automatically adjusting settings.
There is also an Automatic Game Mode which can detect when youâre playing games and adjust settings to suit, including enabling VRR, such as AMD FreeSync Premium.
The Pro Series OLED also ships with a Roku voice remote with backlit buttons and customizable shortcuts.
Roku Pro Series LX OLED
Itâs a little more difficult to find information on the Pro Series LX OLED, although Roku says itâs designed to deliver a âbrighter pictureâ, plus supports up to 144Hz with VRR and an advanced polarizer for cutting down on reflections. Itâs also set to come with a nicer remote, with a rechargeable Roku Voice Remote rather than a battery-powered one.
Beyond this, there isnât much detail on how this screen differs from its brother, such as how else the panel differs, or even what sizes it comes in.
Both of these TVs are set to be Amazon exclusives. The Pro Series OLED is available now, starting at $999 for the 55-inch model, rising to $1,199.99 for the 65-inch model.
The Pro Series LX OLED will be available in October 2026 for $1,299, although in a yet-to-be-determined size.
