👀 We just got our first proper look at the sizes of Samsung’s new Galaxy S27 handsets
👷♂️ Third-party screen protectors for the S27, S27+ and S27 Ultra demonstrate the size difference
📏 The S27 Ultra looks like it’ll be a monster at 6.89 inches, while the S27+ will be 6.66 inches and the standard S27 will be 6.27 inches
💪 The S27 series looks to be quite an upgrade at the higher end, with M16 OLEDs and bigger batteries for the Pro and Ultra models
We might have just gotten our first proper look at the sizes of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S27 handsets, courtesy of third-party screen protectors of all things.
As per SammyGuru, the Samsung news site has obtained purported screen protector images for the Galaxy S27, S27+ and S27 Ultra that give a good idea of expected display sizes and form factors.
These new images, combined with other third-party accessory images, note the Galaxy S27 is likely to be the smallest in the lineup, with a 6.27-inch screen. The mid-range Galaxy S27+ is set to come with a 6.66-inch panel, while the flagship Galaxy S27 Ultra will dwarf the pair of them with a large 6.89-inch screen.
This might not be particularly new information, but the images at least give a side-by-side comparison of what we can expect these phones’ sizes to be.
It appears that Samsung also isn’t anticipating major changes when it comes to the design of these new phones, with the overall front design and shape not appearing to change too much.
What’s missing is the Galaxy S27 Pro, which is expected to sit between the S27+ and the full-fat Ultra, and have a smaller 6.47-inch screen.
We’ve learnt a little bit about Samsung’s upcoming handsets, most notably that the Galaxy S27 Ultra looks set to lose its 10MP 3x telephoto lens, supposedly as a result of rising costs.
Instead, it looks like the Galaxy S27 Pro would be the model to get a 3x telephoto, albeit with an uprated 12MP resolution. The S27 Pro looks to be a halfway house between a more standard S27 and the Ultra, coming with a smaller 6.47-inch screen and no S Pen.
Elsewhere, it appears the Galaxy S27 series in general could be high time for some big upgrades from Samsung.
Rumors indicate the Pro and Ultra could be set for larger batteries made with silicon-carbon tech and the same M16 OLED panels as the new iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.
