GTA 6 will be released on PC during the first three months of 2027, according to a new report from GamesBeat.
GTA 6 is launching first on PS5 and Xbox Series X on November 19, but a PC version is highly anticipated as it will allow players with more powerful hardware to push Rockstarâs open-world epic to the next level.
Four industry sources familiar with the studioâs plans believe that GTA 6âs PC release date will take place during the first quarter of 2027, though a Rockstar Games representative did not respond to GamesBeatâs request to comment prior to the report going live.
A Q1 2027 PC release date would mean GTA 6 will only remain a console exclusive for four months at most. Thatâs a relatively brief window, as previous games have taken up to a year or more to arrive on PC.
However, PC has become an important market for publishers as Steam concurrent users continue to reach record-breaking levels. The PC release could coincide with GTA 6 Online launching, which Twitch CEO Dan Clancy believes will also take place ânext yearâ.
Publisher Take-Twoâs CEO Strauss Zelnick previously said that releasing GTA 6 first on consoles was a priority, as thatâs where the core player base was.
Zelnick said: âI think with regard to a release like that youâre judged by serving the coreâ, which implied Take-Two believes console players are more important to Grand Theft Auto 6âs success.
Zelnick added: âIf your core consumer isnât there, if theyâre not served first and best, you kind of donât hit your other consumersâ.
GTA 6 releases on PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026.
