The good news is that Walmart may be the next retailer in the US to track if you’re desperate to buy a PlayStation Pro ahead of GTA 6. The evidence is timing: the big-box store hasn’t had PS5 Pro in stock since early September, and it typically launches new waves of the console every month to month and a half. We’re due for a restock.

Walmart will likely be the next online store to offer a sizeable restock of the PS5 Pro, but it’s far from the only American retail brand to check. Both Amazon and PlayStation Direct have sold PlayStation’s most powerful console in the last week, albeit briefly.
According to my retail sources, we might not see a big PS5 Pro restock at GameStop until closer to GTA 6 and Black Friday. This is meant to lure consumers to GameStop stores to make additional purchases there rather than having them shop online or at rival stores. They call these tentpole events, and it’s why GameStop has been out of stock for so long.
