Beyerdynamic has introduced a new pair of Aventho Y wireless headphones that offer a super-long 90-hour battery life, a fully repairable design, and the low, low price of $149.
Now, that 90-hour battery life is only achievable with ANC off, but even with noise cancellation activated, the Beyerdynamic Aventho Y still offers a very respectable 60 hours of battery life. You can also quick charge up to six hours of playback time after a 5-minute quick charge.
What’s more, this battery is also fully user-replaceable. Alternatively, you can buy a spare battery as a separate accessory and slot it under the magnetic earcups for a second hot-swap battery. Adding to the Aventho Y’s longevity, it features magnetic ear cushions, as well as replaceable aluminum sliders and stainless-steel hinges.
The Beyerdynamic Aventho Y looks fairly eye-catching too, with a circular earcup design playing homage to the brand’s professional over-ear monitors. These headphones also come in four bright colors, including Liquid Black, Blue Fusion, Soft Jade, and Peach Blush.
The Aventho Y features 45mm drivers that support a 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response. The usual active noise-canceling and transparency mode features are on tap here, and the Aventho Y supports Bluetooth 6.0, but it only supports AAC and SBC, so you won’t be able to stream high-bitrate audio to these cans.
Beyerdynamic promises its headphones’ two integrated microphones will help reduce background noise during calls. But for even better phone call quality, Beyerdynamic offers an optional upgrade package that includes a low-latency USB-C dongle and detachable boom microphone. The same spare battery slot can hold the optional dongle while the boom microphone plugs into a dedicated port along the bottom of the headphones. Lastly, there is an optional pair of black or gray velour ear pads.
