The reviews for The Last of Us Part 1 are in, and Naughty Dog's remake is a hit with critics once again

The Last of Us Part 1 is out today, September 2, and there’s no denying that the game has been a hit with critics. While I wasn’t quite as enamored as the majority, I still awarded the game 4 out of 5 in my The Last of Us Part 1 review, praising the game’s sumptuous visuals, unique PS5 features, and accessibility options.
The Last of Us Part 1 is a PS5 exclusive but is due to come to PC sometime in the future. The PS5 version of the game is currently sitting on a Metacritic score of 89 after 103 critic reviews, which means The Last of Us Part 1 has received “generally favorable” review scores.
For comparison’s sake, The Last of Us on PS3 scored 95 on Metacritic in 2013, while The Last of Us Remastered on PS4 also received a score of 95 in 2014.
Inverse gave The Last of Us Part 1 a perfect score, saying: “Unforgettable characters, sky-high stakes, nail-biting action, and impeccable pacing make The Last of Us Part I a superlative gaming experience in every possible sense.”

IGN awarded The Last of Us Part 1 a 9/10 and said, “The Last of Us Part 1 is the best way to play – or replay –Naughty Dog’s esteemed survival classic.”
Meanwhile, GameSpot gave the game an 8/10, and said, “…while some of the level design may not have aged all that well, the vivid cast of characters and remarkable story are more poignant than ever.”
T3 was one of the few outlets that didn’t click with The Last of Part 1, awarding the game a 6/10. “…aside from the graphical glow-up – as well as a steep price of entry, it's hard to justify a second (or even third) purchase for returning players.”
