Nintendo has added three new GBA games to Nintendo Switch Online, and there are some must-play titles included.
From today, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 owners can enjoy Monster Rancher Advance, Metal Slug Advance and Kururin Paradise – the latter of which never released outside of Japan.
Monster Rancher Advance was released in 2001 and is a life simulation/monster-raising game that was developed and published by Tecmo. It was the first portable entry in the Monster Rancher series, and a sequel followed in 2002.
Metal Slug Advance retains the classic side-scrolling run-and-gun action the series is famed for and is well-regarded by fans. The game was released in 2004 and makes a couple of tweaks to the main series’ formula, including adding a health bar and a card-collecting system.
Kururin Paradise is a 2002 puzzle-action game that was never released in the West. It means players outside of Japan can experience it for the first time thanks to Nintendo Switch Online.
You’ll need to have a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pak membership to access the library of Game Boy Advance games, as they’re locked behind Nintendo’s most expensive subscription tier.
