Sony has announced an enticing range of Wolverine-themed limited edition PS5 items, including a console bundle, themed controllers, and console covers that could be well worth a pickup alongside the game.
They’ve been designed to celebrate the launch of the upcoming PS5 exclusive Marvel’s Wolverine, one of the biggest releases of the year that drop on September 15, 2026.
We’ve rounded up everything you need to know about Marvel’s Wolverine limited edition, including its release date, pre-order, price, and more.
Marvel’s Wolverine Limited Edition products
As part of a PlayStation blog post, Sony has announced an array of Wolverine-themed items that come in two different colors – the character’s signature yellow and black or white and black.
The PS5 Digital Edition bundle takes a digital PS5 and adorns it with yellow and black side panels, complete with Wolverine artwork and claw marks across the side.
The DualSense controller flips the color scheme, opting for black on the top half and yellow on the bottom half, complete with more claw marks.
Sony says this design “channels Logan’s unmistakable intensity through a bold yellow finish” and that “the design brings in Wolverine’s exposed claw marks and lets players peek under the hood of the PS5 Digital Edition and see what’s underneath”.
Furthermore, Sony says it collaborated with the game’s graphic artist, Jock, who said he wanted to “show Wolverine at his fiercest” with this bundle.
If you already own a PS5 or PS5 Pro, then you can purchase console covers directly from Sony that match this bundle, so you can add a bit of Wolverine’s signature aggression to your setup.
Likewise, the DualSense controller is available as a standalone purchase and isn’t just available as part of the bundle. It’s a similar strategy to the Ghost of Yotei Limited Edition.
If Wolverine’s classic yellow color scheme isn’t for you, then you’re in luck. Sony is also opting for a metallic silver and black finish for its console covers that’s “inspired by the adamantium bonded to Logan’s skeleton and claws” and is available for the PS5 Pro specifically. There is a two-tone controller to match, which is available as a standalone purchase.
Marvel’s Wolverine Limited Edition pre-order date
Sony has announced that the Wolverine Digital Edition limited edition bundles and accessories are due for pre-order on August 19 at 10am local time and will be available from PlayStation Direct and select retailers.
As for the PS5 Pro covers and controllers, they launch on September 15 in “limited quantities”, the same day Marvel’s Wolverine releases.
Marvel’s Wolverine Limited Edition price
Sony has revealed the price of the Marvel’s Wolverine Limited Edition items. The PS5 Digital Edition console bundle will cost $649.99, which includes the console, controller, and a copy of the game.
The standalone DualSense controllers go for $84.99 in both colors, while the yellow console covers for the PS5 and PS5 Pro are $74.99. The PS5 Pro silver and black console covers are the same price, for reference.
