💰 The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199
📆 It’s on sale starting today
Apple just dropped eight new iPhones in one foul swoop.
Well, kind of. Today, the company released the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, its latest flagship phones that have key upgrades like a variable aperture on the main camera, better battery life, faster speeds, and a smaller Dynamic Island. It has a surprisingly robust list of new features that make it a great choice for those who need an upgrade, but the question is: which color do you go for?
That’s where the magic number “8” comes into play. In total, there are four different iPhone 18 Pro colors to pick from, and four colors for the 18 Pro Max. We went to Apple Fifth Avenue this morning to get an early look at all four new finishes and snap some photos so you could get an idea of how each of them look.
Here’s a breakdown of all four new colors to help you decide which is right for you.

🎨 iPhone 18 Pro colors
🍷 Burgundy
Apple’s flagship color for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max is Burgundy, and it’s a stunner. In person, the color looks like a combination of rich red velvet and your favorite glass of Cabernet, with deep brown hues at certain angles that give it a unique sophistication. It’s certainly more understated than the Cosmic Orange color that the iPhone 17 Pro shipped in, but it’s still an easy head-turner.
🧊 Glacier
A crispy, cool blue, Glacier differs from the 17 Pro’s Deep Blue with a much lighter hue that looks like a chilled version of Silver. It reminds me a lot of the Pacific Blue finish that the iPhone 13 Pro came in, but more metallic. I heard from a lot of folks who thought this was the best color of the lineup, and I get what they’re saying. It’s unique without being too flashy, and it’s a refreshing change of pace compared to last year.
⚫️ Black
The color I was most excited for was, somewhat boringly, Black. The only premium iPhone that shipped in Black last year was the iPhone Air, which bummed out Pro users significantly (go check literally any subreddit about the 17 Pro and you’ll see what I mean). I was thrilled when I found out the 18 Pro would ship in the finish, and Apple killed it. It’s dark, it’s sleek, and it has an almost iridescent quality to it despite being matte black. I absolutely love how it looks in person.
🪙 Silver
The final color in Apple’s lineup is Silver, the only color to be continued from last year’s phones. The difference with the iPhone 18 Pro’s Silver lies in the glass on the back. Like the rest of the finishes, the glass is color-matched to the paint on the aluminum, eliminating the two-toned look of yesteryear. On the Silver model, that means the glass is more gray than anything else. It’s a fine shade if you want something basic, or if you know you’ll be tossing your phone in a case.
