Don't miss your chance to get GTA Online on PS5 for free
The offer ends today, June 14, so grab GTA Online on PS5 for free while you can
Don’t miss your last chance to download GTA Online for free on PS5 before the offer expires today, June 14.
Rockstar’s incredibly popular online multiplayer game has been available as a free download for PS5 owners ever since the remastered version hit Sony’s console on March 15.
The GTA 5 remaster features upgraded visuals, including a 60fps performance mode, 4K resolution, HDR, ray-tracing, and significantly faster load times. There’s also support for the PS5 DualSense controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, which help add an extra layer of immersion to Rockstar’s epic open world.
If you’re new to GTA Online, you’ll get $4,000,000 to kickstart your criminal organization, and players who have a PS4 save file can transfer their existing GTA Online character over to the PS5 version.
You’ll need to be a PS Plus member to play online, so make sure you sign up for Sony’s subscription service.
How to claim GTA Online for free on PS5
Head to the PlayStation Store icon on PS5 (located on the far left of the home screen) and press X on your controller. Navigate to the icon that looks like a magnifying glass and type in GTA Online into the search bar when the onscreen keyboard pops up.
Click on the game and press the download button to claim GTA Online for free on PS5. Note: you won’t be able to redeem this offer from a web browser, only from the PS5 console.
Remember, you only have until the end of June 14 to grab it. Otherwise, you’ll have to either buy GTA Online for $19.99 or pay $39.99 to get GTA 5, which also comes with the multiplayer mode.
When will we see GTA 6?
It’s understandable if you’re done with GTA 5 and only have eyes for GTA 6 at this point. After all, Grand Theft Auto 5 was first released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2013 and was later ported to PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2015. The PS5 remaster is the game’s third release, which means millions will have already had their fill of Los Santos.
Thankfully, Rockstar has confirmed that it is officially working on GTA 6. However, the game is still a ways off, with a likely release date of 2024 or 2025 at the very earliest.
