Nintendo’s special edition Zelda Switch 2 has been in high demand since its announcement, leading to pre-orders selling out as soon as the console was revealed. In the run up to launch, restocks have been scarce, with only the Nintendo Store and Amazon offering new opportunities to grab the console. But now that’s it’s launched, where’s the next best place to look, and is it still possible to get one?
The Nintendo Store was the best destination on launch day, as we saw several restocks throughout the day – though many were false dawns that left consumers unable to checkout with the console. Still, it shows that Nintendo is working hard to provide new stock, and we already know more consoles are on the way. If any retailer will have priority access, its Nintendo’s own store.
November 6 is the next big Zelda Switch 2 restock date
The console will also be available to order online at Walmart on November 6, with Target also offering the same date. We were expecting Walmart to have more units on launch day, but a supply chain issue seemingly scuppered that plan. The good news is that it should have more inventory on November 6, which is one day after The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time launches.
Of course, we’ll still be tracking every retailer with our exclusive Zelda 40th anniversary Switch 2 restock tracker for any earlier opportunities, which provides up-to-the-second information when the Zelda Switch 2 is in stock. If the console appears, our followers will still be the first to know.
In-store options are also available
If you’re willing to travel to your local brick and mortar store, Best Buy and Nintendo are holding in-store events on November 5 (you’ll need a Warp Pipe Pass for Nintendo’s event), and GameStop is also letting customers pre-order in-store. Some were lucky enough to get the console in-person at Walmart and other retailers, while others were less successful.
Why you should use our Zelda Switch 2 restock tracker
It can be difficult tracking down the Zelda Switch 2, with new stock selling out almost as soon as it appears. However, by using our restock tracker, you’ll get an alert if and when we see any stock online. We’ve helped over 400,000 people find hard-to-find items like the PS5 when it was sold out for close to two years. While we can’t always be right in our predictions, we can at least increase your chances of getting the console.
