There'a a 50% chance the Target PS5 restock is tomorrow, April 7
The definitive PS5 restock news source in the US has is down to a science: the Target PS5 restock time is likely to be between 7am and 8am ET either tomorrow, April 7, or Friday, April 8. The Target PS5 restock history is unwavering when it comes to this time window, and Target stores are actually overdue to sell the Sony console.
I’ve been able to help 214,000 people get a next-gen console, and my PS5 restock tracker on Twitter will send you alerts and my Target PS5 restock live stream is queued up for tomorrow morning. Here’s what you need to know ahead of time.
Target PS5 restock news
There was no Target PS5 restock today, April 6, and that wasn’t too surprising. While Target’s online store has sold consoles on Wednesdays before, Thursday and Friday have remained the most popular restock days in 2022. That means all hope is pinning on April 7 and April 8 of this week, with an even 50% chance between the two dates.
It’s been four weeks since the last Target PS5 restock, and stores usually have online orders for in-store pickups once every three to four weeks. That means we’re overdue to see Target restock the PlayStation 5, which is still in demand and facing the same global chip shortage problems as we’re seeing from pretty much all technology. The Xbox Series X restock has only caught up to demand in April 2022, but supply hasn’t improved very much (it’s just that the desire for Microsoft’s console has let up).
Target PS5 restock time never changes
The Target restock time is always between 7am and 8am ET, with the most frequent stock showing up at 7:40am ET. It all happens online and at the same time nationwide, so you’re you’re on the West Coast of the United States, it’ll be three hours earlier. That’s why the Target PS5 restock live stream works wonders during those early morning hours, alerting everyone when the pages are live.
The one thing that you should know is that Target pulls down its PS5 product pages right after a restock ends. That means the pages appear to be blank. About 20 to 30 minutes before a PS5 restock at Target, those same pages will suddenly spring back to life and you’ll soon be able to buy a PS5 from Target. It’s the surest sign that there will be a Target restock that same day. If the Target PS5 pages aren’t live 20 minutes ahead of the usual 7:40pm restock time, then it becomes unlikely.
Target PS5 restock time – why it’s so in demand
There are three appealing things about the Target PS5 restock that make it, unlike any other retailer that sells the Sony console, including Walmart, GameStop, Best Buy and even Sony Direct and the Amazon PS5 restock as of April 2022.
Each Target PS5 restock price is MSRP – $399 for PS5 Digital and $499 for PS5 Disc. Unlike GameStop and Antonline, you won’t be forced to buy a bundle.
Target allows for online purchases with in-store pick-ups, meaning you’ll be able to buy the console online and get it the same day in your local Target store.
Target doesn’t require any membership or invite to buy a PS5, unlike Walmart Plus, Amazon Prime, Best Buy Totaltech or even hard-to-get Sony Direct restock invite email.
Demand will almost certainly fall for PS5 stock in the coming weeks and months, but my years of tech and PS5 restock expertise says that Target will be the last US store chain to have the PlayStation 5 sitting on store shelves.
Without membership or PS5 bundle requirements, it’s the most sought-after way to buy the console for fans of the PlayStation brand and resellers alike. Bargain hunters know that anything in a PS5 bundle can always be bought cheaper separately, so you can take advantage of the ongoing PlayStation Plus discount code for at least $18 and snag the PS Plus free games before the end of April.
