A brand-new leak for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra points to a hefty upgrade to its signature Privacy Display.
As per 9To5Google, the upcoming flagships for the Galaxy S27 line, involving both the S27 Pro and Ultra, will have a Privacy Display with âenhanced display brightnessâ.
While this is quite a vague description, this could be quite a hefty upgrade for those using the privacy screen. It should make it a lot more usable, especially for those who need enhanced privacy when out in public, and donât want to take as much of a hit to image sharpness and quality when using it.
The Galaxy S26 Ultraâs Privacy Display is clever, although it does come at the expense of being much dimmer than if the screen is left in its ânormalâ mode, especially when you have maximum privacy settings enabled.
Weâre beginning to learn more about Samsungâs upcoming handsets, including the fact that the dimensions shouldnât be too different from the S26 series thanks to leaked photos of third-party screen protectors that will reportedly fit the upcoming phones.
Rumors indicate the Pro and Ultra could be set for larger batteries made with silicon-carbon tech and the same M16 OLED panels as the new iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.
We also believe that the Galaxy S27 Ultra looks set to lose its 10MP 3x telephoto lens, supposedly as a result of rising costs.
Instead, it looks like the Galaxy S27 Pro will be the model to get a 3x telephoto, albeit with an upgraded 12MP resolution. The S27 Pro looks to be a halfway house between a more standard S27 and the Ultra, coming with a smaller 6.47-inch screen and no S Pen support.
