I bought a paper pro about a month ago, but I also saved a bit of change by not buying the cover from them but from a third party on Amazon for about $30. Don't spend a ton of money on the cover if you don't have to. It's still $675 with the pen but it's not $800
Love my paper pro. I'm an MBA student and really appreciate having all my notes in, separate, easy to access folders. I can customize templates with document links in PowerPoint and load them. For class, I like being able to load our case studies via pdf and write notes directly on the page or add a notes page. The paper pro was definitely worth the money imo.
For the right crowd with the right financial situation, I think the Paper Pro makes a lot of sense. But it's important to note that it's by no means the thing most people should buy; all that most consumers want is to take handwritten notes on the go and have them digitized, which is what the iPad has been good at for the past nearly 10 years.
Have the paper pro and remarkable 2 model. If one doesn't need the larger size backlit display nor color, the remarkable 2 is a good deal, maybe even a refrub rm2. Plus they have a refurbished remarkable 2 keyboard that, although not backlit, works well with that device. Both come with good warranty and free returns. I returned my paper pro keyboard partly do the cost but also it was a little discouraging that the top row and bottom function keys did not light up. The rm2 keyboard is not backlit, though it works well with the remarkable 2 tablet. Sadly neither keyboard allows you to type in a PDF file but you can add a rm native page to a PDF then type on it. Typing area when using either keyboard is not as wide for either device...not a deal breaker just not great. And...though the rpp cost a lot it is really nice to have a backlit screen for use at night and the yellow color, if used to highlight text is very useful.
With the cloud sync account you can use your PC to type in files (see above) plus now take a photo of a paper using the rm mobile app, to import into your RM tablet.
How well does the remarkable convert written to digital text? I currently painstakingly write essays on foolscap (paper) and then manually type what ive written into a word doc. Will remarkable do that conversion for me?
No I like it. You like the first one a lot and you use it like you actually use it a lot then you'll appreciate having like a few extra features or whatever and yeah it cost a lot but it doesn't cost as much as an iPad and I don't want it to be connected to the internet constantly. It's not an enormous company it's not making like millions and millions and millions and millions of units. But it's a really high quality device and the support is amazing. The Creator is very invested in people's responses to it

Awesome review, I bought the paper bro mainly for note taking and the fact it doesn’t have blue light being shined on my face consistently compared to my iPad Pro, for some odd reason reading my comics and mangas on this is so much more easier for me, I wonder if I just love the color and look of the e-ink more, amazing tablet tho, wish it was cheaper for others to enjoy.

“ReMarkable Paper Pro review: a luxury notepad SOME PROPLE should buy”
Fixed that title given the content of your piece. And my personal experience.
