Don’t bother with this impossible Halo 2 $20,000 challenge – you won’t succeed
You could win $20,000 by completing Halo 2’s campaign on Legendary difficulty… but there’s a twist
➡️ The Shortcut Skinny
💰 Streamer MoistCr1TiKaL has created a $20,000 Halo 2 challenge
💪 To win, you need to complete Halo 2 on Legendary difficulty…
💀 …turn all skulls on (LASO)…
☠️ …and complete the whole game without dying once
📺 You’ll also need to stream your attempt on Twitch or YouTube
Update: We have a winner! Against all odds, Twitch streamer JerValiN beats MoistCr1tiKal's $20,000 Halo 2 challenge.
Original story: You could win $20,000 for completing Halo 2 on Legendary difficultly… but I wouldn’t boot up your copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection just yet.
YouTube and Twitch streamer moistCr1TiKaL has laid down a gruesome gauntlet for Xbox and PC gamers to overcome: you must beat Halo 2 on Legendary difficulty, turn on all game modifying skulls (LASO), and complete the game without dying.
In MoistCr1TiKaL own words, the challenge is “diabolical” and “brutally difficult,” with many speculating that it’s never been done before in the 18 years since the game was released.
You’ll need to stream your attempt on Twitch on YouTube to win. You also can’t use any cheats, external modifications, or save/load cheesing. Glitches that are present in the game are allowed, but it has to be a clean run, essentially. Oh, and the skull Envy needs to be turned off, which stops you from being able to have active camouflage on.
Halo 2’s campaign is easily the hardest and longest in the series, and turning on the game- modifying skulls only makes things more difficult. Some skulls remove the game’s HUD, increase enemy health and combat awareness, or make them permanently camouflaged.
According to MoistCr1TiKaL, “99% of every single runner couldn’t get past level one. About 80% of that couldn’t get past the first two rooms.” He also says that players should play Halo 2 classic, not Halo 2 Anniversary, as enemies shoot faster and there’s no “ghosting” glitch.

Even though there’s a large community of pro Halo players, it’s unlikely that anyone will be able to beat this sadistic Halo 2 challenge. After all, the game’s sniper Jackals are infamous for being able to one-shot kill you at a moment’s notice, meaning a run can be cut short at any time.
Still, if you think you’ve got what it takes, make sure you stream your gameplay online so you’ve got proof, and $20,000 could be yours.
