"Threads will also commit the same sins as Instagram has been criticized for in the past: it won’t just show you posts from people you follow, but instead, you’ll see content from whatever Meta’s algorithm thinks you want to see."

This is happening to me ln Facebook already; itnstead of ads, it's now full of unsolicited junk and feeds that I keep blocking but more pops up. If I want unlimited scroll of interesting content I'll go to Imgur.

"That’s different from Twitter where you can at least choose whether to use the ‘For you’ tab to see recommended content or the ‘Following’ tab to only see posts from people you care about."

I rarely use Twitter, but I'm getting tons of random ppl and companies pages on my feed, with and without blue/gold check marks. I used to ignore them, then mute them, but now I am just blocking every new one that pops up.
