Just came back from my local Walmart store. Been waiting there since 5 am. They only had 2 on hand. Young kid working there tried ringing it up for me. System would not let him. Waited till 7am when electronics department opened and the girl working in that department was told over the radio all sales are on hold for Nintendo due to pre-orders issues. They wouldn’t tell her anything else but to tell us to try again tomorrow and see if it lets us check out..
From what I got it was a Walmart wide issue not sure if it got anything to do with Nintendo itself. I’ll be keeping an eye on online sale and try and go into Walmart tomorrow morning to see if I can get it.
I am at Walmart, they have the consoles (only 4) but they won't ring up in their system. Of course they can't tell if it's a pre-order, but one was sold already at 2am when the store is actually closed.... apparently I'm not the only one experiencing this
Update, that was about an hour ago, finally gave up and had to come home. But they did inform me that someone managed to sell a system at 2am even though my store is closed 11pm-6am 🤷♂️. Luckily the electronics manager was nice and did take my name and number to call me if she notices the system letting them ring up
Oh wow. I even asked if there was any way they could call me if their system is working and I will be there within 5 mins ( I live really close to the store and live in a small town ) and manager here said absolutely not. 🙂↕️ Would you mind replying to my text if you hear anything from your Walmart so I can run to mine as well and check if theirs is working as well? 😊
They did call me back and it's working now! Successfully picked mine up(the same manager was there and waiting lol), seems that systems started updating around 8am Eastern
