We predicted that a Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 restock would happen on launch day, October 29, and weāre now even more confident after the Nintendo Storeās surprise restock yesterday.
Our followers were the first to know that the Zelda Switch 2 was back in stock at the Nintendo Store, and the console even promised to arrive on launch day if you managed to secure one.
It strongly suggests that other retailers such as Walmart, Target, GameStop, Amazon and Best Buy will have more units ā albeit in limited quantities ā on launch day for those who currently donāt have a pre-order.
Retailers often hold back stock for launch day buyers who havenāt pre-ordered. Cancellations can also occur in the run up to release, meaning more stock is made available that was previously snapped up.
Zelda Switch 2 restock ā why Walmart will have stock
Walmart historically holds back extra stock for launch day, and weāre expecting the same to happen on October 29. As the largest retailer in the US, it usually has the biggest stock allocation, and Thursday and Friday mornings is when the retailer tends to offer restocks online.
As we mentioned previously, Nintendo was also a retailer to watch ā and it went live with a restock earlier than we thought. It had previously promised the Zelda 40th anniversary Switch 2 would be āreplenishedā, and it offered a limited amount of stock for those who were lucky enough to snag one.
