The future of Cyberpunk 2077 will be revealed in a new Night City Wire live stream today, September 6, developer CD Projekt Red has announced.
The Polish developer, who also created The Witcher, announced that it would share “what’s next” for Cyberpunk 2077, which got a PS5 and Xbox Series X|S upgrade on February 15.
The show will also discuss the upcoming Netflix anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, which airs on September 13. It’s being made by the Japanese animation studio behind Kill la Kill and Little Witch Academia and will be 10 episodes in length.
How to watch the Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire stream
The Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire stream starts at 11am ET / 8am PT/ 4pm BST / 5pm CEST, and you can watch it on Twitch. The stream is expected to last 30 minutes.
We haven’t heard much about Cyberpunk 2077 since the game’s long-awaited current-gen update, but we might finally get a look at Cyberpunk’s multiplayer mode or new single-player expansion.
The expansion will feature a new storyline and is expected to arrive in 2023. CD Projekt Red promised to share more details back in April, so this could be the perfect opportunity to do so.
A rocky road
After overpromising and seriously underdelivering, Cyberpunk 2077 didn’t have the best of starts. The game was pulled from the PlayStation Store and sold on the Microsoft Store with a warning to users about bugs, poor performance, and more.
🆚 PS5 vs Xbox Series X: is there really a winner?
That hasn’t stopped the game from selling 18 million copies, and after several patches and updates, Cyberpunk 2077 is in a pretty good place on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. However, the PS4 and Xbox One versions still can’t be recommended due to performance issues and general instability.
