I just ordered the PSVR2 a couple hours ago. Super excited because I own Grans Turismo and can't wait to see what that is like. I also have the recent Woojer Vest 3 which I have been using extensively with the Meta Quest 2. That haptics vest adds to the experience extensively and reinvigorated me to play more Beat Saber. I have drastically upped my game on that of late. Some of the song packs lately have also been really good. The only thing I was worried about with upgrading to PSVR2 was the cable. However, I also ordered the VR Wire II cable management system from Lord of Leisure VR which will solve any concern about movement. I must clarify, I have no affiliation to any of these companies or products. I'm just someone who loves to try innovative new products and make sure to do my research. It's from doing the research how I found you and how you were able to help me get a PS5 in the first place. So I definitely will always come comment here when I discover cool upgrades you and your readers might be interested in. I really appreciate what you are doing here and your PSVR2 review helped as well. I can't remember if my Shortcut sub is currently active but I will check and activate right now if not. 🙏🏻

Am I correct to assume that any PSVR games upgraded to PSVR2 will be free for me....or are they not even bothering updating PSVR games to work on PSVR2? If that's the case...if they make the same title for PSVR2 that I already bought on PSVR1, I have to re-buy it?

Samsung Gear VR (as well as Meta Quest and PSVR mainly with base PS4) are indeed using foveated rendering to ease the computation load. But they don't have eye tracking so they're doing it statically in the middle of the view, assuming you primarily use your head to look around instead of your eyes.

Dynamic foveated rendering as PSVR2 is doing it makes it totally invisible to the headset wearer and not a necessary compromise as with the less powerful systems.

Will there be any included set up to keep players from getting tangled up in the cord? I can see myself getting caught up then pulling the console off the tv stand if it doesn’t come with something to keep the cable up and out of the way.

As a XTAL3 user this seems like a child toy, the only consumer HMD coming out that picks my interest is the Shiftall's MeganeX.

Great review, can you let us know your thoughts on the pulse headset. Just bought PS5 and pre-ordered PSVR2 with bundle.

Quest fanboys are holding unto “the huge library” they have…but are any of the games good. Even if they’re decent, don’t act like they compare to Sony’s IP’s. We are nearing launch and Sony still has more games to show before launch so I’m assuming some sort of stage show or showcase will happen soon?

Just saying, the Quest and Quest 2 are all-in-one devices. The PSVR 2 is able to include eye tracking and other high quality additions compared to these devices because the headset doesn't have to have all that stuff built in. Otherwise interesting review.

That is great news.

Web-slinging through Manhattan in VR is currently top of my wish-list.

Price for that display seems pretty good. I'm guessing it could easily go wireless like quest 2. Have quest 2 and a pc so that's a huge library.

The 1st psvr made me motion sick very quickly and the weight hurt. Hopefully they make a lot more games and features for it
