MacBook deals in the US: MacBook Air and Pro discounts
Apple's MacBook and Mac computers are always on sale – if you know where to look
Updated for Monday, May 23: Apple MacBook deals in the US are always in stock – if you know where to look and don’t simply shop at the official Apple Store where they charge full price. There were new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro discounts as soon as the latest models launched – and, yes, even for MacBook M1 chip models.
MacBook deals are often split between two online stores in the United States: B&H Photo and Amazon, just like the best iPad deals, lowest AirPods price and even small AirTags price drops. Occasionally, Walmart and Best Buy deals will save you money on Macs, but more often than not they’re better at consoles (see the upcoming Walmart PS5 restock date and time), so I’m tracking Apple deals from Amazon and B&H; that’s where the deepest and fastest discounts have been in May 2022. iPhone deals are the only exception, as American carriers sometimes top Amazon.
Updated daily, these are the best MacBook Air or MacBook Pro deals.

13-inch MacBook Air M1 deals
MacBook Air M1 (13-inch, 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM)
Cheapest price: $949
Amazon is now out of stock:
MacBook Air M1 (13-inch, 512GB SSD, 8GB RAM)
This is a great MacBook Air M1 deal in stock today. Yes, $50 isn’t as big of a discount as you’ll find on a Windows laptop, but this is the best price for Apple’s thin-and-light MacBook that contains its fancy new chipset and has excellent battery life.
The superb battery life alone is a key selling point, and saving $50 sure beats paying full price from Apple.
13-inch MacBook Pro M1 deals
🔥 MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM)
Cheapest price: $1,199
🔥 🔥 🔥 MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 512GB SSD, 8GB RAM)
Cheapest price: $1,399
Now we’re talking. If you’re interested in a MacBook Pro deal, you’ll end up with the same M1 chip and even better battery life. The performance is about the same as the MacBook Air, though it contains a fan, so you should be able to push this MacBook a little bit harder than the Air.
14-inch MacBook Pro (latest model)
MacBook Pro (14-inch, M1 Pro, 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM)
In and out of stock at this price
MacBook Pro (14-inch, M1 Pro, 1TB SSD, 16GB RAM)
Cheapest price: $2,499
In and out of stock today
14-inch MacBook Pro deals at the base level haven’t seen a deal recently, but the M1 Pro version with 1TB of storage is $50 right now from Amazon. B&H Photo is currently on backorder, so savings there aren’t present.
Recommended version: This is the MacBook that I own, and I do suggest a 1TB SSD or larger. 14 inches for a MacBook Pro is the recommended size to fit into a bag, including sling bags vs the 16-inch version that may not fit into a smaller bag.
16-inch MacBook Pro M1 Pro (latest model)
🔥🔥🔥 16-inch MacBook Pro (M1 Pro with 16GB + 512GB SSD)
16-inch MacBook Pro (M1 Pro with 16GB + 1TB SSD)
Out of stock
16-inch MacBook Pro (M1 Max with 64GB RAM + 2TB SSD)
This MacBook Pro M1 deal is for the souped-up M1 Pro chipset, which means it’s an amazement that you can get even $50 off this Apple computer with a 16-inch Liquid Retina XDR mini-LED display. For me, sometimes it’s the little thing that are the true perks, like an HDMI port and SD card port. I use those new additions almost daily.
Not every MacBook Pro deal is a discount right now, but I’m also seeing several on backorder, so I’ve also highlighted configurations that are readily in stock.
Mac Studio deals
Mac Studio (M1 Max, 512GB SSD, 32GB RAM)
Actually in stock
The Mac Studio just came out and I’m expecting intermittent deals from B&H Photo. I’ll keep track of it here as more Mac deals come in. However, since the Mac Studio is so new (it’s the latest in Apple’s computer lineup), discounts are going to be at the $50 level, so waiting around may or may not be worth it, depending on how soon you’re in need of a Mac computer.
