🎃 Fortnite’s annual Fortnitemares Halloween event is underway
🐺 Players will be able to transform into werewolves and unlock new abilities
🤩 Three Halloween-themed rewards are available to earn
📅 The 14-day Fortnitemares event ends on November 1
Fortnite’s Halloween-themed ‘Fortnitemares’ event has arrived, letting players transform into a werewolf and harness wolf-like abilities.
Players who visit the Reality Tree and perform the Ritual Emote can earn the Howler Claws, a supernatural item that grants you canine abilities.
Equipping the Howler Claws lets you activate the Wolfscent Ability, which gives you tracking vision and marks enemies in a nearby radius. You can also detect if you’re being stalked by another player, as an audible heartbeat sound will get louder as they approach.
Players with the Howler Claws can perform a four-combo melee attack that tears those who get too close into shreds, as well as a double jump Air Slash ability that damages opponents upon landing.
Three exclusive rewards are available to players who complete the new Fortnitemares quests — the Everything’s End Glider, Chrome Cage Back Bling, and Unmaker Pickaxe. You’ll have until November 1 2am ET / 11pm PT / 7am BST / 8am CEST to claim them.
Horde Rush mode has also returned to Fortnite, but this time it’s a Zero Build version. If you’ve always struggled with Fortnite’s frantic building mechanics, the Zero Build Horde Rush mode lets you focus firmly on the task at hand — taking down hordes of monsters in a bid to survive for as long as possible.
If that wasn’t enough to sink your fangs into, then try seeking out the new foe residing in Grim Gables house. Those who defeat him can earn a Mythic weapon, but it won’t be an easy task. Best bring some friends along to tip the odds in your favor.
