📱 Apple is letting eager customers get in line to preorder the iPhone Duo
📆 Four days before preorders begin, you can make your selections and have your cart ready
🎪 Apple has done this process before with other major iPhone launches
🛍️ The iPhone Duo is set to go on sale October 23, with preorders opening October 16
If you’re one of the many folks eagerly awaiting the iPhone Duo, there’s some good news: Apple will let you get in line to preorder your foldable iMessage machine four days early.
The company confirmed on its website that starting on October 12, you can “get ready” to preorder your iPhone Duo. This process is sort of like ordering a new phone, but you never actually hit the “Buy” button.
You can go through the process and select the color and storage you want, choose delivery or in-store pickup, work out your trade-in estimate, and choose your payment plan. Afterwards, the phone will land in your cart and be ready to preorder with the tap of a button once preorders go live.

Speaking of which, that date isn’t changing. Apple is still opening preorders for the iPhone Duo on October 16 at 5 am PT / 8 am ET, the same time it announced at the September 9 launch event. In the interim, beginning on October 12, you’ll simply be able to get your cart ready to get your order in as quickly as possible.
That might be key to getting your iPhone Duo around the launch date of October 23. Rumor has it that supply is extremely constraint right now for the Duo, and the phone is expected to be in much stronger demand than the iPhone 18 Pro or Pro Max were at preorder time.
Apple’s first foldable iPhone is set to spark renewed interest in the foldable category, as there’s finally a device that integrates with the rest of the company’s ecosystem while delivering all the key components of a well-rounded foldable experience. We’re gonna do our best to get our hands on one as early as possible, so stay tuned.
