The latest bunch of free games heading to Amazon Prime Gaming has been revealed, and there’s one title that subscribers should be sure to grab.
Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition is leading the Prime pack this month. Obsidian’s acclaimed post-apocalyptic RPG first hit shelves in 2010, but still feels fresh more than a decade later. In it, you’ll skulk around the Mojave Wasteland on the trail of revenge, while completing quests, navigating factional disputes, and doing everything else you’d expect from an RPG.
New Vegas launched as a follow-up to Bethesda’s beloved Fallout 3, but stands apart for its brilliant writing, tight mission design and strenuous player choices, as well as its semi-Western world.
Now the game’s twelve years old, you don’t even need a top-of-the-line gaming rig to run it. There’s really no excuse not to play what’s often considered one of the best RPGs ever.
If story-rich shooters aren’t to your liking, plenty of other games will also be available this November. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is an old-school adventure game, Etherborn is a gorgeous puzzle platformer, and WRC 9’s a snazzy rally racer. Hidden object mystery thriller Facility 47 is also on the roster, alongside horror puzzler Whispering Willows and cinematic adventure Last Day of June (which happens to be inspired by a song by prog rocker Steven Wilson).
So, in total, that’s:
🔫 Fallout: New Vega Ultimate Edition
🦁 Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
🌳 Etherborn
🚘 WRC 9
🔎 Facility 47
👻 Whispering Willow
☀️ Last Day of June
If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you’ll be able to claim the games from November 1. As usual, once you’ve bagged them, they’re yours to keep forever. That means you can redownload them as many times as you want, even after your Prime subscription expires.
Amazon Prime’s been releasing free monthly games for a while now. It gave away seven free games last month, and just this has given Prime members Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Total War: Warhammer 2, Assassin’s Creed: Origins and StarCraft: Remastered at no additional cost to their Prime membership fee. If you’re already a Prime subscriber, it’s well worth keeping an eye out on the platform’s monthly freebies.
Of course, if you’re already an Xbox Game Pass member, you won’t need to grab Fallout: New Vegas, as it’s already available on the subscription platform.
Been grateful for those plucky dorks at Obs since firing up Knights II on PC.
